Brunei Darussalam

This small Islamic country meaning "Adobe of Peace" is located on the island of Borneo.

Brunei is rich in oil and also boasts its wealth within the palaces and fine architecture found throughout the city.  It offers many "Aladdin" vibes with its monarchial government being ruled by its Sultan.

It is a popular tourist attraction as it offers the largest water (stilt) village in Southeast Asia and thus nicknamed the ‘Venice of the East.’

Kampong Ayer (pictured below) consists of 42 adjoining villages which house around 30,000 people and provide communal establishments including schools, shops, restaurants and even its own mosque.
