Bulgaria
Bulgaria is located in the Black Sea and is known to be one of the oldest European countries, founded in 681 A.D.
It has Neanderthal remains dating back to around 150,000 years as well as strong history and evidence of the Roman Empire.

VARNA
Varna is the third largest city in Bulgaria and offers a variety of cathedrals, museums and gardens to explore.
Pictures below are from Cathedral of the Assumption of the Virgin which was built in the 19th century.
It houses a finely carved iconostasis and bishop’s throne as well as some interesting murals and stained glass.
