Nicaragua

This Central American nation is known for its dramatic terrain of lakes, volcanoes and beaches.

Vast Lake Managua and the iconic stratovolcano Momotombo sit north of the capital Managua.

To the south is Granada, noted for its Spanish colonial architecture and an archipelago of navigable islets rich in tropical bird life.

CORINTO

One of my first experiences in a very run-down community with many street hustlers, it is easy to find a local who is willing to show you around via rickshaw.

GETTING THERE:

The closest airport to Corinth is Augusto C. Sandino International Airport (MGA), which is approximately 2 hours away in Managua.

GETTING AROUND:

Rental cars are a great option for independence, flexibility and a variety of destinations.

Corinto itself is relatively small and can be explored via foot or local rickshaw.
